Customized, Faculty-Led Study Abroad Programs are the nuts and bolts of what AEA has done since 2005.
Starting with China in 2005, we soon began to operate in the rest of Asia, and grew into other parts of the world at the request of our clients. Some people call these types of experiences educational tourism international student trips. At AEA, we use the term "program" in place of "trip" or "tourism," because we feel that the latter two words depict a very different type of experience than the former.
Asia
Our first programs began in China in 2005, and soon expanded throughout Asia. Today, we continue to build customized, faculty-led experiences across the region.
South America
In 2008, we added programming in Brazil, connecting students and faculty with immersive cultural and academic opportunities.
Africa
By 2010, AEA started to support groups in Ghana and South Africa, providing customized programming designed to fit faculty and student needs. Now we offer more than 20 countries in Africa.
Europe
In 2015, we began operations in Europe, offering programs in pretty much any topic you can think of.
Caribbean, Oceania, and North America
Over the years, we have also added destinations in the Caribbean, Oceania, and North America to meet the growing demand for diverse learning experiences.
