We will travel again.

If anything good has come out of the pandemic, it’s that we’ve learned a lot about health, safety, and risk management when it comes to global learning.

We are beyond excited to see groups head overseas in the coming months -- once it is safe to do so. If you’re planning for late 2021, 2022, and beyond, please check out our Post-Covid FLP Planning guide. We perform a Risk Assessment for every program we run — and always have — so if you’re curious what that looks like, contact us.

We’ve learned how to increase access.

Another thing we’ve learned is how to innovate. Our network spans 100 countries, and during the pandemic, we’ve connected with contacts from across the globe to build the Global Learning Library. What is it? Well, it includes, but isn’t limited to…

1. Live Virtual Meetings and Speakers: 98% of college students don’t study abroad, even during the good times. For these students, online learning and collaboration with people from around the world is a far more affordable and sustainable alternative to physically studying abroad. Faculty can arrange global speakers through us; we take care of the video meeting hosting and logistics.

2. Recorded Speaking Engagements: This is the heart of the Global Learning Library, which is growing in recorded speaker content every week. Faculty can easily ask students to sign up individually for access (much like a buying a textbook), and institutional membership is also available at a very affordable price (in a format modeled after JSTOR). Recorded videos help to provide supplement lectures, homework assignments, and course readings — lightening faculty loads and providing international perspectives to all students.

3. Virtual Faculty Inspections make visiting with locals and discovering inaccessible locations possible — even easy! — during the pandemic and otherwise. Even during good times, faculty and administrators who do not have the budget or time to go to a location can arrange personal, live online video inspections along with recorded content for planning future study abroad programs.

OK. Where do I start?
